Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter is a well-known American actor as well as producer and director. Her name has been acknowledged for her roles in films like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. She won several awards including an Oscar for the film Piano. The talented actress began her acting career in the theatre by performing in a myriad of Broadway as well as Off-Broadway productions. From her early years she's always been enthusiastic about acting. She played Helen Keller as a fifth-grade pupil in a school performance. The mumps caused her to lose hearing in one her ear, however this didn't stop the actress from pursuing her dream. She studied drama at college after which she moved to Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania to New York City to follow her dream. Hunter had her Broadway debut following an accidental conversation with Beth Henley, a playwright. They collaborated on Broadway Crimes of the Heart. Hunter made the move into Los Angeles and tried to find films roles. In Swing Shift, she landed the role of a back-up. In the three decades since she was a part of the film Holly Hunter has been in many films, television movies and series. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star and also the Women in Film Lucy Award.
